Join us on Saturday, April 13th, 2024 for our last regular volunteer work party of the season!
We will do some light brushing and some tread repair on the Deming Gulch segment of the Sterling Mine Ditch Trail. The storm of early March was not kind to the trees in our region, and some have uprooted and taken out some of the trail tread.  We welcome your help in repairing the trail!

Meet-up at the Deming Gulch trailhead at 9:00.
FREE LUNCH after we work!

When:  Saturday, April 13, 2024     9:00 AM to 1:00PM
(SUTA provides snacks and hot lunch!)

Where: Meet-up at the Deming Gulch Trailhead. Click on MAPS & DIRECTIONS/DIRECTIONS on the Home Page for directions to trailhead.

What:  We’ll be doing some light brushing as needed and tread repair work. Expect to hike about 3-4 miles round trip.

What to Bring: Wear comfortable and supportive hiking or work boots. Also bring work gloves, and dress in layers appropriate to the weather. Bring your own water bottle and SUTA will have water at the trailhead for refills.  SUTA will also provide some yummy home-baked trail snacks!  We provide tools, but if you have a favorite tread tool, loppers, or pruning saw, feel free bring it (write your name on it please).

There IS such a thing as a FREE LUNCH!  SUTA will provide a hearty hot lunch back at the trail head when we are finished working.
