Join us on Saturday, November 12th for our first trail work party of the 2022-2023 season!

| When: Saturday, Nov 12th – 9:00 AM to 1:30PM (SUTA provides snacks and lunch!)Where: Meet up at the Little Applegate Trailhead at 9:00. (Little Applegate TH is on Little Applegate Rd. near the junction with Rush Creek Rd. (Continue on Little Applegate road for 8.2 miles from Buncom). Check the SUTA website if you need directions www.sutaoregon.org or email us at sutaoregoncontact@gmail.com What: Trail maintenance on the Sterling Mine Ditch trail – trimming and grubbing of encroaching vegetation and repairing the trail tread in some areas. Expect to hike about 4-5 miles round trip. We cancel only if heavy rain/snow is forecast. Check your email before leaving home that morning if weather looks iffy. What to Bring: Wear comfortable hiking or work boots, work gloves, and dress in layers. Bring your own water bottle and SUTA will have an Igloo cooler of water at the trailhead for refills (this helps reduce our plastic use). Also bring your favorite trail snacks if you like, and SUTA will also provide some yummy home-baked goodies! SUTA will provide tools, but if you have a favorite tread tool, loppers, or pruning saw, feel free bring it (write your name on it please). SUTA will provide a lunch back at the trailhead when we are finished working. We will also have purchased wrapped snacks as well as some awesome home-baked goodies.
